A cricket price does not tell you what has to happen until its market is identified. A match winner selection, a named team's runs total and a period-specific proposition can all sit beside the same two teams. They answer different questions, so their decimal prices should not be ranked together as though they were alternative quotes for one outcome.
With a team total, the named team is part of the contract. So are the line and the relevant innings or other period. An abbreviated capture such as Total Runs followed by a shortened team name should be treated as incomplete context until the underlying team and period are clear. Knowing both opponents in the fixture does not automatically tell you which side an abbreviated total refers to.
Consider a fictional arithmetic example with a line of 123.5 runs. If the market's stated rules define settlement solely by an integer team score for the specified period, a total of 124 is above that line and 123 is below it. This example explains the threshold only. It does not establish how any bookmaker settles a shortened innings, an abandoned match or a change in the match conditions. Those situations require the relevant market rules.
The price then supplies a multiplier. An illustrative stake of 10 account units at 1.85 would return 18.50 including the stake if the selection wins under the applicable terms. Moving the line from 123.5 to 129.5 changes the question being priced; a higher decimal price at the new line is not automatically a better version of the original wager.
A full-match winner price needs a different comparison group. Match identity, competition, date, participants and settlement scope should agree before two observations are treated as comparable. Where the record does not establish the event date, it can remain a historical numerical example, but it should not become a dated upcoming fixture by borrowing its collection timestamp.
The notebook preserves each source bookmaker as well. If a cricket observation was supplied for an operator outside the site's assigned bookmaker selection, it is not relabelled as a 1xBet or 22Bet price. Availability of an affiliate button is not permission to change who provided the odds. A missing compatible record is more honest than a false comparison.
When reviewing a cricket row, read in this order: participants, market, named team where relevant, period, line, selection, price and collection time. Check the current operator terms separately for settlement and availability. Keeping these fields together makes historical cricket data useful even when it is too old or incomplete to serve as a live match listing.
